What really happened? Why did they have been blown out with score of 82-103 in favor for the Bulls?

Well for me it's because they focus too much on beating the former East Champs the Boston Celtics. Remember when James and Wade made comments during the off season when they said that they are preparing the battle with the Celtics. James loves to win over Boston because he always been eliminated by the Celtics (2008 & 2010). Wade also wanted revenge last year playoff. They focus and prepared all season long just to beat the Celtics and they are successful indeed crushing Boston in game 5.

Now they have to face a talented Chicago Bulls with a pride of their own. Nobody expect the Bulls will go this far. They had the MVP Rose and a every good coach. Well Wade and James didn't beat the Celtics after all they still have to beat the Coach of the Bulls Tom the former Assistant Coach of Doc Rivers coach of the Boston Celtics. James will always be hunted by the Celtics with the coach of the Bulls or even if they got to the finals and meet the Thunder he have to fight with Perkins the former Center of Boston. Goodluck to James and hope you're not a jinks with the Heat.

How to level fast in Cafe World?

Hello readers, addicted to Cafe World? Yes, I have found a way to cheat in Cafe World without using any cheat engine. Yes genuine cheating, how? I'm here to show you some of my methods I do actually have some trials and errors in the past but now that I have mastered the cheating methods my friends in faceBook who uses Cafe World daily wont even notice how fast I level up. Here are the steps:

First step. Notice that when you cook a dish every time you click the stove it gives us +1CP meaning +1 cafe points. Sample for Tostada de Carne Asada it gives +14CP per click and we are allowed to click 3 times so we have 14x3 = 42CP per Tostada de Carne Asada and like me I already have 12 stoves so we have 42x12 = 504CP and after the third click the number of hours to cook the dish will appear. Now try clicking the stove a prompt will appear stating that the dish is still cooking and will ask you if you want to KEEP or DELETE the dish select DELETE and repeat the steps again and again that is if you still have gold coins to buy the dishes.
Second Step. If you don't have a food to serve in your counters try clicking the customize your cafe and then click and drag the door into it. You will notice that the door will be gone and the customers can't go inside your cafe by doing this your buzz ratings will not decrease.

Iron Man 2 Snaek Peak

Check out the Iron Man 2 footage, the five-minute clip runs through a number of scenes, including a meeting between Stark and Fury, a congressional hearing questioning Stark's possession of the suit and an action montage where we get our first looks at Whiplash, Black Widow and even War Machine in action. I cannot resist to compare late President Cory Aquino to our current President Gloria Arroyo. For me Cory Aquino is a symbol of freedom, a mother, a spiritual individual, a respected leader, a simple president, a gentle person but with a big heart and a strong leader. All of a good traits of a good and great leader. Now its Gloria's turn. a symbol of corruption, a strong personality with a strong grasps to the power that she now have, a leader that people hate, loves to go to church but it dosen't show to her personality and her family.

This is my point of view Gloria Arroyo will never ever gain respect to the people of this republic unless she will gave you money for it. I was proud to see all in the White House clap their hands and stand on their feet and you will notice to the people in that room all amazed to see Lady President that was actually historical.

Filipinos all over the world might felt what I felt PROUD thank you Tita Cory and Ninoy for the democracy you gave us your children.

The Yellow Ribbon Army

You can all see the yellow ribbons in the streets actually anywhere you go you will see the yellow ribbons. But I think as soon as she gets older she will mature enough to understand that she is now a big sister and that she'll have to take care of her baby brother.

We are just thankful that we had beautiful kids and that we got a Girl and a Boy.

Vince Carter is an Orlando Magic

Guess what this is a wrong move bringing Carter to the Magic will create a lot of destruction for the team the playing time of Hedo and Rashard will be sacrifice and we all see that they are as good as anybody else. Yes, it will be a big factor to have him with Lebron but the question is, does Shaq have enough diesel power to help the Cavs or will he be just another Ben Wallace that is a none factor in Cleveland? But sure thing though when Shaq is around a talented player like the caliber of Lebron he produce a trophy. I don't like Kobe Bryant for me he is a jerk and a Jordan wanna be. He might be good and has a passion to the game but I really don't like the guy. For me the L.A. KG hope you can play for another ring.

Smallville Season 8 Finale

As a Fan of Superman and DC Comics this episode is the connection of the Death of Superman comics all the question I've been asking for years has been answered. Questions ike where did Doomsday came from why is he buried under the Earth and why is he so obsessed of killing the Man of Steel.

Thaks to Chloe and Clark they manage to seperate the Beast (Doomsday) and Davis Bloom but apprently they just release the Beast and now Clark is in danger. The JLA headed by Green Arrow, Flash, Black Canary and Clark has a plan of containing and trapping Doomsday. Thay planned to put the big guy to the Earth core where in Clark is successful they put the beast in peace but for us fans we all know that in the comics Doomsday will come back and will kill Superman.

After they separated Bloom and Doomsday. Davis, Chloe and Jimmy Olsen went to the soon to be Watch Tower. Not knowing that the psycho Davis is awake and he heard that Chloe is doing all those thing beacuase of Clark and that she still loves Jimmy, Davis went nuts and killed Jimmy and plans to kill Chloe as well but Jimmy still finds a strenght to kill Davis they both are dead. During Jimmy's funeral the future photographer of Clark and Lane appears the younger brother of Henry James Olsen the Jimmy Olsen we all knew in the movies.

Lane is stuck in the future because she accidentally open the Legions Ring. Tess Mercer saw that the Orb has a being inside it and it's Zod. Which one is the best car Suzuki Alto or Chery QQ3? Both are cheap cars Suzuki as we all know are made in Japan while Chery is made from China. Both Alto and QQ3 are small cars with a classy look. They both have 5 doors and small tires. For me Alto would be the best one to buy because of its quality and design. Thus, Suzuki Alto is made in Japan and we all know that if it's a Japanese Car definitely is has a superior quality no offense to China manufacturers.

The Forbidden Kingdom

This is a much awaited movie a team up of two of the most well known Chinese celebrity starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li. It may cost $75 (Php 3,000+) but the good thing is that it comes with a toy, yup you read it right a toy of Voltron. Every pair of shoe comes with a robot lion based on the 1980's Japanese cartoon "Voltron the defenders of the universe". This is a limited 5 shoe collectors item.
Each shoe comes with a special Reebok Voltron packaging. Cassell was averaging 12.8 points and 4.7 assists in 25.4 minutes per game this season for the Los Angeles Clippers in 38 games. The former All-Star has appeared in 115 career post-season games and has posted career averages of 13.6 points and 4.9 assists in his playoff career. Imagine the Celtics first five Rondo, R. Allen, Pierce, KG and Perkins and now they have a solid 2nd unit to back them up Cassell, House, Posey, PJ Brown and Pollard. I just remembered the Minnesota Timberwolves last playoff days when KG, Cassell and Spree are part of the big three and they almost made it to the finals. Now that Cassell is part of the well beef up Celtics no one as is no one will stand on their way. Good luck LA Lakers, Phoenix Suns, San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons and Kings James Cleveland Cavaliers because Boston will prevail.

Female Prison Break Spin-Off

For my own point of view this should be the stupid move ever. I felt guilty for the lack of time to spend with her. My baby is now 1 year and 7 months old. She now knows how to be left alone without her daddy and mommy.

As of late my daughter is sleeping beyond the usual time of sleep. She's beginning to lay down in bed at 10 pm or sometimes 12 midnight. One thing I've noticed is that she wants some quality time (bonding time) with us her parents by means of playing, book reading and even chatting things (although I cannot understand her words). Last night she don't want to sleep although she's very sleepy she just resisting it so, I told her mom to lay down and pretend to sleep and I sing her a song that she used to hear when she was younger and I touch her hair while singing the song and suddenly she smiles back and said DAD then she closed her eyes but she still goes to her mom and lay down beside her.

I has touched by my daughter when she smiles back and sad the word DAD in a very angelic voice. Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your life

(at least the way you react to situations). What is this principle?

10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean?

We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.

How? By your reaction. You cannot control a red light., but you can control your reaction. You are eating breakfast with your family. You have no control over what just what happened. What happens when the next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over.

She breaks down in tears. Both ended different.

Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off)

Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive? Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job. The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it.

The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.

The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.

It CAN change your life!!!

Baby Einstein vs Brainy Baby

Which one is better? On our experienced these two educational products for toddlers are both good though our baby (Chloe) watched Baby Einstein more than Brainy Baby.
I have notice that she love Baby Einstein during her 4 months to 1 year and 2 months old stage maybe because this educational show showcase puppets and good musical sounds. Believe it or not she learn to say the word tiger (without an R yet tho) and she knows the difference of a cat to a loin and to a tiger. It is slow pace and your toddlers can learn a lot of new things.

For Brainy Baby, she's beginning to like it more during her 1 year and 3 months old stage to present maybe because she's beginning to get tired watching puppets. This show is also good for our babies because now there is an interaction between your baby and the show. Since she knows a to play peek-a-boo there is a part on that show that says peek-a-boo suddenly i saw her putting her hands on her eyes and play it. It shows the difference between YES and NO n which she understands.

For me both are good but be smart when is the right time to show it to your baby. There are also popular educational shows like these one here are they:

Sesame Street (my baby learns to clap with this show)
Barney (sher learns how to play bubbles and how to dance the quak, quak dance (dancing like a duck)
Dora the Explorer
First Impression

My baby is now 1 year and 4 months old. I know she's bright and smart. Be sure that if your child watch this shows spend time with her while watching and teach her what going on with the scene, she will enjoy watching it and she will learn as well.

Understanding Toddlers

Toddlerhood has two contrasting stages that can puzzle parents and caregivers. The first starts in the beginning of the second year, when a baby takes those first wildly staggering steps in an attempt to stand erect while moving unsupported. When he succeeds, joy reigns supreme!

Children are generally very trusting now. They expect adults to save them from unwise or even dangerous adventures, such as climbing up on a chair to reach the sink. Try to have eyes in the back of your head during this period.

The next stage comes in the middle of the second year. Babies begin to use their new thinking powers and may get grouchy as they figure out that parents and caregivers can no longer cater immediately to their every need. Without warning, the rules have changed: a child now has to wait a bit for dinner; an adult playmate may not be available on demand; a parent who has been a constant presence may be back at work full time.

Great Expectations
In addition, the adults in a toddler's life now expect more mature behaviors. We want toddlers to use a spoon rather than dig into food with fingers. We insist that grabbed toys be returned to their rightful owners. And, most annoyingly, we ask that the toys be shared!

Struggling to understand these new rules is hard work for toddlers. Some toddlers become more low key; others become more defiant. Both responses are attempts to cope with the sweeping changes from early babyhood — when any cry brought prompt, tender care.

Emotional Swings
Toddlers' emotions will often seesaw wildly now. On one hand, they want to be on their own and grow toward more assertiveness, self-will, and independence. ("No!" and "Do it myself" become favorite refrains.) On the other hand, they're longing to still be cuddled and protected.

The likely result is overwhelming frustration. For example, a toddler who wrestles with a puzzle piece but cannot make it fit will commonly react by sweeping the puzzle to the floor and throwing himself with passionate sobs into his caregiver's arms.

Balancing Act
So what does a wise adult do during these rocky emotional times? First, offer reassurance, and boost the child's courage to try again. If adults do not provide new challenges in judicious doses, they may dampen the toddler's motivation to grow toward more independence.

In addition, offer toddlers limited choices ("Do you want apple juice or orange juice?"), and be as patient as you can be. Anger and indignation at what parents and caregivers may view as defiance and disobedience can crush a toddler's spirit. Adult fury leads to gray moods and loss of toddler joy.

At all costs, be careful not to shame toddlers. Check your words and take care not to call a toddler "bad" for having toileting accidents, saying "no," or being clumsy. When a toddler's struggle toward independence is ridiculed, scolded, ignored, or punished, the result is often rage or deliberate hurting of others. Make every effort to support your toddler with firm, calm words and gestures. Empathize with this difficult emotional stage. Offer a hug when he dissolves into frustrated tears. If you can't be there, make sure to leave a "blankie" or other self-soother with your child's caregiver.

If you work patiently with your child to face the difficulties in the drive toward independence, he'll learn how to calm himself, wait patiently, and cope with stressful social situations. Just remember that there's no quick fix: All new emotional learning takes time.

What is your favorite moment with your child?

Well for me that would be watching Sesame Street most especially when Snappy approach Elmo and tell him what his favorite song was. Snappy's favorite song though is Row your Boat and when this song play Elmo will ride on Snappy's back as if his back is the boat. By watching this scene my daughter will also approach me and raise her arm so i could pick her up and when the song plays i'll row her until the song stops and after that huhuhuh my back aches but it will be consumed by the laughter and love by my Chloe.

So is your favorite moment with your child? Do this at least every week and your child might love it and we can show them how much they are important to us. We can also make them more sociable as they learn how to play.

Father parenting style

We tend to be more arousing and unpredictable with kids from the get-go. We rock our baby more than moms do, and roll around with them in floor play. Babies as young as eight weeks old notice the difference between a mom's protectiveness and a dad's stimulation.

Our little ones showed special signs of excitement when we approached. They scrunched up their shoulders, breathed more rapidly and opened their eyes wide. And they usually pick us over moms for fun and action more than two-thirds of the time.

Research shows that this kind of daddy-style play builds cognitive skills, and helps children acquire social and emotional experiences that prepare them for school -- how to take turns, how to negotiate, regulate and understand feelings, and how to be a leader. "Kids who learn these early social skills from their fathers do better with peers," says Ross Parke, distinguished professor of psychology at the University of California, Riverside, and author of Fatherhood.

Being a father is not just being the provider

We fathers usually thought at first that if we married our wives and have our 1st baby we should provide them basic needs. Yes this is true and it will remain for the end of time. But most of us forgot that being the head of the family is not just being the provider. Remember that our daughters and sons and our wives needs our quality time. If you can go home early from work do so this is the way to show to them how much they are really important to us.

Like me, if i'm at home i spend my precious time to my daughter and have our daddy and daughter time. We play hide and seek, peek a boo, watching children shows together and educating her. When home i'm the one who feed her, her favorite oatmeal, yogurt, soup with rice and even feeding her in bottle with milk. It never come to my mind that it will lessen my manhood but instead it makes me complete seeing my baby grow up and learning new stuff and i know i'm part of it because i gave her the time she needs.

So for those who will become a daddy be sure to provide your little princess or prince the time they need. I love my baby Chloe.

Bomb or Methane Blasts

It has been 3 weeks now since the Glorietta 2 Blasts and investigators from NBI, FBI and Australian Investigating team seems to come to the conclusion that the incident was not caused by a bomb or any terrorist attack hence, this is just an industrial fault by the mall management according to their findings. On my own opinion this is not a bomb and i think that the mall is the guilty one.

It's hard to see that Glorietta will fall and might be close for operation for good if find guilty. I have tons of memories with this mall. I have read some articles about this issue and these are normal to toddlers ages 1- 3 year of age. And study shows that during this stage of life they develop their personality so we should be very careful for their emotions.

According to the article I have read and heard form other parents that the first thing we have to do is ignore her when she cries about thing that may not be suitable for her to play with. Actually on my part I hate to see her upset but that's the point if I gave her the thing she wanted to play with I'll just spoil her and in the future this maybe bad for the whole family. Even how hard it is to see her cry I will just pamper her and make her stop cry by putting her attention to a different toy or a place.

So if you encounter this you should be patient and be prepared for this is normal to them. This is the part that we really need to understand them so bare with them.

Learn to cherish each moment with our love one

This is a true story. It is hard to imagine that in an instant things that it used to be will all of a sudden went black. If this happened to me i will never know if i can go on with our lives or how to handle the job being a single parent. Most probably i'm going to cry everyday, every hour, every minute. I feel sorry for you Carlo Cruz but you need so be brave enough to continue what's left with you (easy to say if you're not in the position). So dear reader here's the letter that breaks my heart read on.

Good day everyone,

I wish I were writing under different circumstances.

I would like to inform you that my wife Leslie Cruz was part of the casualties in the Glorietta 2 Mall bombing in Makati City , Philippines . She was supposed to have a minor out patient surgery at Makati Medical Center at 230pm.

I had taken a leave from work to accompany her there. We dropped off our daughter, Amber, at my parents place in QC to babysit at around 10am . We then proceeded to Makati and was there at 1230pm. Since she had been fasting in preparation for her procedure, she wanted to move ar ound and listen to some music while I grabbed a bite to eat. We parked at the basement of Park Square 2, and headed for the Glorietta 2 entrance. We parted at the top of the escalator, she turned right towards Filbar's while I went left towards the restaurants. That was the last time I would see her.

Around 120pm, she had called me so that we can meet at the Glorietta 2 exit just in time to make her appointment. As I made my way there from Glorietta 1 through the connecting hallways, and was about to turn the corner, I heard 2 deep thumps and the shock-wave from the blast hit me. At that moment my heart dropped as I knew that the origin of the blast came from the same place where we were supposed to meet. I tried getting to where my wife was, but the dust was too much and it was as if I was staring at a white wall.

I still tried to convince myself that she was able to make it out, and that after ringing her mobile without a response only meant that she dropped it in the confusion. After 6 hours of searching from Makati Med. to Ospital ng Makati , the blast site, and back again to MMC - with the help of all the people I could get hold of, that I was able to get confirmation in what the state of my wife was.

My Dad and Uncle signaled me in from the ER of MMC. My Uncle (who's a doctor) asked me to describe Leslie's appearance to another group of doctors. I saw in the eyes of one that the description made sense. Instead of confirming it to me, they huddled together, then brought me to a small examination room. It was only through a digital camera that I was able to confirm (and deny) that she was indeed gone.

I have so many regrets. I should have met her sooner. I should have ran instead of a brisk walk. I should have not chose to park where I did. I should have braved the dust and went in the blast site. I should have ...

Today's the 4th day. It is still terribly difficult to breathe, let alone wake up realizing that your source of strength, your best friend doesn't lie beside you on your bed. That my deepest worry is when Amber starts asking for her Mama.

I am glad that Amber's too young to understand the loss and pain. In time I would like to tell her the details of how her mother died, but more importantly I would like to raise her as how her mother lived - a loving person, strong willed, decisive, caring, and nurturing. She has always cared for her family and friends, and sacrfied her career for being a full time mom and home maker.

As with all couples we had our ups and downs - none of which I regret not going through. The sweet is never as sweet without the sour. For almost 4 years of marriage, we've finally hit our balance in life only to be taken away in an instant. I have no regrets about our marriage. She has loved me and Amber beyond her capacity. I will always love her.

It is my first time to write to egroup as I've lurked and watched emails being sent to and fro. All I want now is that for each of the couples here is to cherish each moment that we spend with our loved ones. Pretty simple to say, very easy to take for granted.

Thank you all for the prayers. I would still like to ask you to please include Leslie in them until her 40th day so that the path to God's kingdom is well lit and she is no longer in the dark.

Sincerely,

Carlo Cruz

I hope this is a lesson for everyone. We need to spend more time with our family because we really don't know when and where will the last time were going to see them. Show them how much we care and love them by being in their as much as you can.

Glorietta 2 Blasts

Me and my wife had a lunch out date on a pizza restaurant at Greenbelt 1 we have spend more than 1 hour there. When i arrived at the office my co-workers seems to have their own lunch out breaks. After a few minutes they had arrived and told us that they ate at KFC Glorietta 2 and when they are going out they noticed that they are police rushing in and that was it the blasts already occurred at the basement of Glorietta 2.

Thank God they are all safe, that were all safe. Babies whose dads do a lot of basic, mundane childcare activities such as feeding, changing diapers, giving baths, and dressing, handle stressful situations better than babies whose dads aren't as involved. Some researchers have linked high levels of father involvement with higher math scores later on in school and to generally higher than age-level scores on verbal intelligence tests. And active fathering seems to be positively correlated with children's increased social adjustment and competence, and to higher levels of self esteem.

The bottom line is that children who live with involved, sensitive, and responsible fathers are better off than kids whose don't. They get along better with their peers, stay in school longer and do better while they're there, are less likely to abuse drugs or alcohol or to get pregnant (or get someone else pregnant) while in their teens, and they grow up to be more caring and sensitive adults.

Women, too, benefit from father involvement. Division of labor issues are the number one marital stressor, and the more support mothers get from their husbands, the less depressed they are, the happier they are in their marriages, and the better they perform their parenting duties. Finally, men themselves benefit from their own increased involvement with their families and children. Involved fathers tend to be more "generative" (giving, nurturing, and helpful), more occupationally mobile, more successful in their careers, and more likely to choose jobs that are people-oriented. In addition, men whose wives are happy in their marriages tend to be happier themselves. And men who are happy in their marriages are generally more involved in their fathering role.

Wonderful Sounds for Sleep

The environment that your baby enjoyed for nine long months in the womb was not one of absolute quiet. There was a constant symphony of sound -- your heartbeat and fluids rushing in and out of the placenta. (Remember those sounds from when you listened to your baby’s heartbeat with the Doppler stethoscope?) Research indicates that “white noise” sounds or soft bedtime music helps many babies to relax and fall asleep more easily. This is most certainly because these sounds create an environment more familiar to your baby than a very quiet room.

Many people enjoy using soothing music as their baby’s sleep sound. If you do, choose bedtime music carefully. Some music (including jazz and much classical music) is too complex and stimulating. For music to be soothing to your baby, pick simple, repetitive, predictable music, like traditional lullabies. Tapes created especially for putting babies to sleep are great choices. Pick something that you will enjoy listening to night after night, too. (Using a tape player with an automatic repeat function is helpful for keeping the music going as long as you need it to play.)

There are widely available, and very lovely, "nature sounds" tapes that work nicely, too, as well those small sound-generating or white-noise devices and clocks you may have seen in stores. The sounds on these -- raindrops, a bubbling brook or running water -- often are similar to those sounds your baby heard in utero. A ticking clock or a bubbling fish tank also make wonderful white-noise options.

You can find some suitable tapes and CDs made especially for babies or those made for adults to listen to when they want to relax. Whatever you choose, listen to it first and ask yourself: Does this relax me? Would it make me feel sleepy if I listened to it in bed?

If you must put your baby to sleep in a noisy, active house full of people, keeping the tape running (auto rewind) will help mask baby-waking noises like dishes clanking, people talking, siblings giggling, TV, dogs barking, etc. This can also help transition your sleeping baby from a noisy daytime house to which he’s become accustomed subconsciously to one of absolute nighttime quiet.

Once your baby is familiar with his calming noise, or music, you can use these to help your baby fall back to sleep when he wakes up in the middle of the night. Simply sooth him by playing the music (very quietly) during the calming and falling-asleep time. If he wakes and cries, repeat this process.

If your baby gets used to his sleep time sounds you can take advantage of this and take the tape with you if you will be away from home for naptime or bedtime. The familiarity of these sounds will help your baby sleep in an unfamiliar environment.

Eventually your baby will rely on this technique less and less to fall and stay asleep. Don’t feel you must rush the process; there is no harm in your baby falling asleep to these gentle sounds. When you are ready to wean him of these you can help this process along by reducing the volume by a small amount every night until you finally don’t turn the music or sounds on at all.

Babies enjoy these peaceful sounds, and they are just one more piece in the puzzle that helps you to help your baby sleep – gently, without any crying at all.

Source: BabiesOnline

How to notify Yahoo bot

Yahoo’s Ping service allows you to notify Yahoo when your blog changes. Every time I go out for work every morning she cries she always want me to be by her side. I know i'll be this type of dad until she's a grown up lady. I hope that she will learn a lot from me and her mom.

So, feel free and read the article and you will learn what type of dad are you.

Daddy Dearest: Why Father-Daughter Relationships Are Important?

Now, more than ever, fathers want to become better dads to their daughters. In the past, it was often assumed that moms played the primary role in shaping girls into young women. However, recent research suggests that the role of fathers can be just as influential, especially when it comes to a daughter's self-image and decision making.

How a daughter perceives her father begins at a very early age. Her perceptions may change with age, but it seems that those perceptions can be categorized into four general types of dads: Prince, Buddy, Ghost and Boss.

PRINCE DAD

He is a knight in shining armor because he treats his daughter like a princess. He is always willing to talk to her about the things she is interested in, and he spends time doing things she likes to do, including playing tea party or doll games. When they go out to dinner, he pulls out her chair and compliments her appearance. As an adult, the daughter views her father as someone who knew how to listen and who taught her not to be afraid of being feminine.

BUDDY DAD

He is his daughter's pal. They often do things he enjoys together. He encourages his daughter to try new things, even if it is predominantly a male activity. Buddy Dad is a great storyteller, but often his stories are about things he is interested in. As an adult, the daughter often sees her father as the one who taught her to stand up for herself and strive for what she wants. He may not have taken the time to talk about girl stuff, but he always supported his daughter's choices.

BOSS DAD

He is the authority figure in the home. He doesn't spend as much time listening as he does laying down the law. His daughter sees him as harsh and sometimes critical. He occasionally spends time talking about her concerns, but he often tells her what to do. The daughter views her dad as loving but rigid.

GHOST DAD

He is the father she hardly ever sees. When Ghost Dad is home, he hides behind a newspaper or in front of a TV. He is not available to talk to anyone. He is a busy man who works hard for the family but hardly ever sees them. He is not willing or able to talk to his daughter and provide her with self-assurance. As an adult, the daughter usually insists he did show love but did not give his time. She grew up thinking that talking and spending time together is not something she can get from others.

Additional research is required to determine how behavior and other factors shape father-daughter relationships, including how the relationship influences a woman's choice in life mate…if at all. What we do know is that the bonds between dads and daughters begin very early in life.

How would your daughter describe you, and how would you label yourself?

Source: Parenting.org

Educational DVD hindering baby's verbal development

Now this is a big concern for modern parents like me. Our baby is now 1 year and almost 4 months old she's on her toddler stage. She loves to watch Baby Einstein and Brainy Baby and if these article is true she might have difficulties on her verbal development. Currently she can only say the words: Dad, Ma, Tige (tiger with no R yet) and a local language "Wala na". I would like to share this article so please read the following for more information.

Those "educational" DVDs may be hindering your baby's verbal development.

Want an articulate kid? Keep the TV off. Letting your infant regularly tune in to videos like Baby Einstein and Brainy Baby not only won't help boost her vocab, it may actually derail verbal development, according to a new study from The Journal of Pediatrics. Here, what study author Andrew Meltzoff, PhD, co-director of the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle, wants you to know when it comes to tots and the tube:

1. It's all about age. Babies 8 to 16 months old knew an average of 6 to 8 fewer words for every hour a day they tuned in to such videos compared to babies who didn't watch them. But for toddlers 17 to 24 months old, the study found no evidence that DVD-watching did any harm -- or good. "This effect may only come into play when children are learning their very first words," says Meltzoff. (Not so surprising, considering that these videos contain very few words; rather, they're mainly filled with random abstract images like lava lamps).

"But the finding that the baby DVDs and videos do no good for babies and toddlers does not contradict the idea that well-designed educational TV, DVD, videos may be useful for some preschoolers or kindergarten children," Meltzoff explains. "What might be educational for a 3- to 6-year-old is a bit different from what helps younger children."

2. Hands down, you're baby's best teacher. "We know that children under age 2 learn language best from interacting with people, and heavy viewing of these DVDs may be taking time away from that," says Meltzoff. In fact, all babies in the study who were read to at least daily knew slightly more words than those who bonded over books less often.

3. But don't feel too guilty if you've already bought those DVDs. If your baby's logged plenty of tube time, it doesn't mean she's destined for the slow track at school. "Babies are adaptive and resilient, and there are many paths to healthy development," says Meltzoff. But instead of always relying on Baby Einstein to serve as babysitter while you chat on the phone, do try to find other ways to stimulate your increasingly curious babe. Remember, there's nothing wrong with a little downtime. Simply letting baby play on her own with a toy, a mushy picture book, or whatever her obsession du jour may be (a mixing bowl, toy cell phone, whatever) is a great way to help her make sense of the exciting world around her.

Source: Parents.com

Prison Break Fanatic

Well I never thought that i'm going to be addicted to this TV Series. Do we communicate with them every day? Do we say how much we love them? Sometimes words alone are not enough to show and express what we wanted to say. Here are some ways you can make a lasting bonds with your children that will last a lifetime.

* Hug! Never stop hugging your baby. These connect you emotionally and physically like nothing else.
* Spend time reading a lots of books to her. You can do this by napping time read and share stories with her. You can even read her favorite book over and over again.
* Play games with her. Playing is one way of great bonding. You can play peek-a-boo or you can get down on the floor and sit with her and play puzzles, shapes, writing or even roll around and laugh together.
* Try to hold her hands while walking, sway and move it. You can show that walking around while holding hands is fun thing to do.
* Always kiss her this is the greatest way to show how much you love your child.
* And tell her that you love her so much, show her that she is special, that she is unique and that she is a gift by God.

Hmmmm...... I'm getting too emotional well maybe being a father can really change your life.

Experiencing Hands on Parenting

Hands on Parenting, what is it? Usually parents now a days does not experience this simply because of their work. Most of us are now spending more hours in our offices than to our home and since today it is more practical for both parents to work because of our economy. So back to our question what is Hands on Parenting? This is where you are the one who's taking care of your child.

I have experienced this in my life. It was September 2006 when i told my boss that i'll take my 1 month leave of absent coz there is no one who will look for our 3 months old daughter. This is very hard for me at first since i'm the father its kinda awkward at first. Then as soon as i saw my baby laughing and smiling back at me i felt so happy and proud. That no i am a father and as well her full time "yaya".

Were been together for the next 9 months. I never came back to work coz the company is bankrupt a blessing in disguise for me. So those times i been with her i learn new thing like changing her diapers, feeding her in a bottle, bathing her, making her watch educational DVD's and playing with her. I saw my baby crawl, walk, eat solid foods and now saying her first words "ti-ga" meaning tiger and the sound i like the most is "DAD". I was so happy that i experienced this in my life and now i know being a father is not just providing your family basic needs but providing them your time and love.

Here's a picture of my Chloe.

Danielle Chloe is now 1 year and 2 months old.
